  • What you need to know before trying CrossFit (Men's Health magazine)

    Published in the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine, researchers at Kennesaw State University concluded that CrossFit is fairly safe compared to other types of training. After analyzing 3,000 survey responses of CrossFit participants, they found that people who are new to CrossFit or train less than three days a week are more likely to get injured.  –  December 06, 2018

    The Kennesaw State University Model United Nations teams recently won Outstanding Delegation Award, at the Southern Regional Model United Nations Conference. Overall, KSU teams won a total of 17 awards, setting a new record for the student organization.  –  December 06, 2018

  • Kennesaw State University economic impact eclipses $1.46 billion

    Kennesaw State University grew its total economic impact by more than $54 million and increased its total employment impact by 1,500 people in fiscal year 2017, according to a University System of Georgia report released this week. The total impact of all 26 USG institutions on their host communities was $16.8 billion in FY 2017, with Kennesaw State eclipsing $1.46 billion.  –  December 05, 2018

    Austen Taylor knew he’d found his calling the first time he picked up a camera. The camera, a gift from his uncle, sent Taylor’s life in a new direction just as he found his footing at Kennesaw State University. Finding his passion behind a camera led him to focus in media and entertainment, a new undergraduate major in KSU’S School of Communication and Media.  –  December 05, 2018

  • Patient Research

    Steven Ho, a senior biology major, is conducting cell research that could assist in the treatment of cancer and other diseases. The goal of the research, led by professor of chemistry Jonathan McMurry and his postdoctoral associate Julia LeCher, is to develop protein-based therapeutics and novel delivery platforms for the treatment of disease.  –  December 04, 2018
