KENNESAW, Ga. (Aug 28, 2018) — Expectations are high this year following Kennesaw State’s record-setting 2017 football season that included winning the Big South Conference championship and becoming the first NCAA Division I program to reach the FCS quarterfinals in just its third year.
The Owls begin the 2018 season with a top-five national ranking and are favored to repeat as Big South champions.
KSU opens Aug. 30 at Georgia State in its first game against an FBS opponent and concludes the regular season by hosting Jacksonville State Nov. 17 in the first football game at SunTrust Park, the home of the Atlanta Braves.
The schedule also includes five Big South contests and a home game against Samford, the team the Owls defeated 28-17 last season for their first FCS playoff win.
