Kennesaw State to officially install Sam Olens as fourth president

Samuel S. Olens will be formally vested as the fourth president of Kennesaw State University on October 19. The Campus community is invited to the Investiture Ceremony at the Convocation Center followed by an Investiture Celebration on the Campus Green.

WHAT:

The Presidential Investiture is a ceremony in which the new leader is conferred with the authority of the office. Held during the president’s first year in office, the investiture is an academic tradition giving the University an opportunity to begin a new chapter in its history and celebrate as a community. The investiture of the new president is a formal academic ceremony.

WHO:

Samuel S. Olens became the fourth president of Kennesaw State University on November 1, 2016. Previously, he served as the attorney general of Georgia from 2010 through 2016, and as the chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners from 2002 through 2010. For more about President Olens, click here.
