Georgia (Mar 25, 2015)KENNESAW, Ga. — The online BBA degree program at Kennesaw State University’s Michael J. Coles College of Business has been ranked 9th nationwide by BestColleges.com in their 2015 ranking of online business degree programs.

Kennesaw State is the only university in Georgia to make the list.

“This ranking is a wonderful endorsement of the great work by our faculty and staff who create an exceptional online experience for our students,” said Kathy Schwaig, dean of the Coles College of Business. “I'm proud of the work that they do and am pleased that we can offer a high-quality Coles degree in a format that is accessible and flexible for so many.”

According to BestColleges.com, distance learning plays a key role in educating business professionals who otherwise would not be able to pursue a degree due to time commitments like work and family. Students in the Coles College online BBA program can choose to major in management, marketing or information security & assurance, taking 100 percent of their courses online.

"Kennesaw State has built a quality online program for working professionals who seek more flexibility than can be found on campus,” said Diana Walters, outreach associate of BestColleges.com. “Programs like yours (KSU) allow students, who might not otherwise have the opportunity, to earn the credentials to build a strong foundation for their career."

The BestColleges.com ranking is based on data from the National Center for Education Statistics, and considers four factors: acceptance rate, retention rate, graduation rate and enrollment rate. These four data points cover the school’s assessment of students, student opinion of the school and student success once enrolled. Schools that excel in all four areas rank the highest in their respective categories.

Coles College of Business is dedicated to being a leader in online learning, and recently launched their first MOOC, Cyber Security and its 10 Domains. The free course offers an introduction to the field of information security and assurance and is available on-demand for self-paced learning.
