(Nov 11, 2014) — Kennesaw State University was one of 140 schools in the county to be named a top school
for veterans, according to rankings released by the magazine Military Times on Monday.
The fifth annual “Best for Vets” rankings consider the number of service members enrolled
at the school, the percentage of tuition covered by the GI Bill and the availability
of specific programs to help veterans, as well as traditional statistics such as student
loan default rates, retention rates, graduation rates and student-faculty ratio, according
to a news release from KSU.
“Kennesaw State is honored to be recognized by Military Times, and we take great pride
in knowing we are striving to do our best for veterans,” said Jerome Ratchford, vice
president for student success at KSU.
KSU opened its Veterans Resource Center in November 2009, which provides information
for veterans about applying for educational benefits and enrollment assistance.
