Fifth Third Bank held a week-long Strike Out Hunger! campaign with three Georgia baseball teams, the Augusta GreenJackets, the Gwinnett Braves and the Kennesaw State University Owls, to help families in need with nearly 1,000 pounds of nonperishable food items.
Fifth Third Bank collected food at all 32 financial centers in Columbia, Richmond, Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Walton, and Cobb counties from April 18 to May 3.
Those who made a contribution received baseball tickets.
Proceeds went to the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta.
