South Paulding High quarterback faxes National Letter-of-Intent at 7:01 a.m.
South Paulding High quarterback Chandler Burks made history when he became the first official football recruit to sign with the Kennesaw State football program during Wednesday's (Feb. 5) National Signing Day.
Burks faxed his National Letter-of-Intent into the football offices at 7:01 a.m. Head coach Brian Bohannon had received 16 signed letters through the first hour and half. By noon, 29 letters had been received.

The Kennesaw State Department of Athletics has scheduled a number of events scheduled throughout the day and provided up-to-the-minute coverage of all the signees, including a live "Board Cam" and streaming of head coach Brian Bohannon's press conference.
Beginning at 7 a.m. (ET), KSUOwls.com provided live look-ins into the coaches' board room, a Cover It Live blog, along with tweets and interviews following the signings of the newest Owls. Updates also were posted on Kennesaw State's football Twitter account @KennesawStFB and at @KSUOwlNation.
For media members, a press conference officially announcing the recruiting class will be held at 3:30 p.m. inside the coaches facility.

The KSU Department of Athletics is inviting The Owls Fund members, football Letter of Intent (LOI) holders and athletics supporters to a celebration event where head coach Brian Bohannon will introduce the program’s inaugural recruiting class. The celebration will be held at the football coaches’ offices located at 3380 Town Point Drive, Suite 340, in Kennesaw beginning at 6 p.m. Space is limited, and for more information contact The Owls Fund at (770) 794-7836 or email@example.com. Per NCAA rules, the Kennesaw State Department of Athletics announced a signee when the program received and KSU Compliance verified the signee's National Letter of Intent. Signees are not officially Owls until approved and listed on this website page.
