KENNESAW, Ga. (Dec. 12, 2013) – Kennesaw State continues to make remarkable progress in football season ticket deposits as the Department of Athletics announced on Thursday that it has reached 2,000 season ticket deposits. The number represents nearly 60 percent of available tickets at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

The University, which announced in February that it will be adding football and named Brian Bohannon head coach in March, will play its inaugural game in the fall of 2015.

"We continue to receive overwhelming support from the community and with a projected 3,600 seats available for purchase, the window to be a part of history is closing," Bobby Lindsey, director of ticket sales and operations, said. "It continues to be in the fan's best interest to place a deposit as soon as possible to establish their priority points and begin earning points.

"Although only 1,600 tickets remain, people still have an opportunity to be a part of the historic first season and should submit their LOI (Letter of Intent) along with a refundable $20 deposit as tickets are only going to be available through season ticket purchases," Lindsey added.

The LOI Program is a formal request that requires a deposit to enter into the Priority Seating Program which uses points to fairly distribute priority when selecting seat locations among donors. All seats will be $99 for the season plus a donation to The Owls Fund.

"The response by the community regarding football at Kennesaw State has been truly amazing," Bohannon said. "I want to thank everyone who has signed Letters of Intent to this point, and to have two-thirds of the available seats accounted for is a great accomplishment. We can continue to make history every day and I encourage all of Owl Nation, if you have not done so already, to make sure to submit your deposit to ensure that you are at Fifth Third Bank Stadium when we kick off in 2015."

Kennesaw State, which will be an associate member of the Big South Conference, announced on Nov. 14 that its inaugural game will be at East Tennessee State on Sept. 3, 2015. The Owls will sign their first recruiting class on Feb. 5, 2014.

More information on the Priority Points Program is available at www.KennesawStateFootball.com. Fans can talk to a ticket representative and submit their LOI by calling the KSU Athletics Ticket Office at 770-423-OWLS (6957).
