Georgia (Oct 11, 2013)KENNESAW, Ga.(October 11, 2013) – Kennesaw State officials express their sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Kimberly Faith Kilgore, who University officials have learned through media reports this evening is now the fatal victim of an off-campus shooting that took place in the early hours of this morning.

Officials in Kennesaw State’s Division of Student Success have confirmed that Kilgore was currently enrolled at the University this semester (Fall 2013), as a junior majoring in communications.

University officials have no direct source of information about the details that led to Kilgore’s shooting.

Campus officials are preparing to provide grief counseling to any members of the campus community who were affiliated with Kilgore and her matriculation at the university. 

As further details are gathered about the student’s passing, communication will be conducted as deemed appropriate.
