Hundreds of students participating in National Collegiate Sales Competition are a dream for recruiters looking to find sales stars

KENNESAW, Ga. (Feb. 24, 2012)  —Every March, recruiters from Fortune 500 companies descend on the Kennesaw State University campus looking to hire their next sales stars. As sponsors of the National Collegiate Sales Competition, these companies get to hire students from the best sales programs participating in the world’s largest collegiate sales competition.

This year, more than 500 students from 65 universities will participate in the sales-call competition and exclusive sales career fair March 2 - 5.

“Some 75 percent of the students participating will get hired at the competition,” said Terry Loe, director of the National Collegiate Sales Competition. “A record number of schools will compete this year. The competition draws the best of the best and is a great recruitment tool for our corporate sponsors.”

WHAT:

Kennesaw State’s 14th annual National Collegiate Sales Competition, the largest and oldest collegiate sales competition in the world and a recruiting marketplace for Fortune 500 and other companies.

WHO:

More than 500 undergraduate and graduate students from the top sales programs, representing 65 universities from the U.S., Canada and Belgium, among them Florida State University, Baylor University, Northern Illinois University, Kennesaw State and the University of Houston.

More than 70 of the top sales faculty in the U.S. will serve as judges in the competition. About 40 sponsor corporations, including Verizon Wireless, UPS and Xerox, will be there to recruit students for jobs.

Friday, March 2 - Monday, March 5. Competition starts at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
