Lively 1950s musical comes to KSU

As the lights go down‚ the familiar rhythms of the doo−wop era fill the theater. A solo voice is heard‚ and is then joined by another. A third voice finds its place in the song‚ and finally a fourth joins to complete the resonating four−part harmonies that will take your heart away to a time remembered. This is "Forever Plaid‚" a musical production scheduled to run July 12−22 at Kennesaw State University.

Georgia (Jul 7, 2006) — As the lights go down‚ the familiar rhythms of the doo−wop era fill the theater.

In this lively toe−tapper‚ the four members of a 1950s garage band are given one chance − and one chance only − to put on the greatest musical show of their after lives.

CTF has established a 15−year reputation for producing top−notch summer theater productions in the Hartford‚ Conn.‚ area. CTF has also presented national and international music and dance companies in its previous seasons.

"Forever Plaid" will provide opportunities for KSU students to work with an established professional regional theater while enjoying the benefits of a supportive college atmosphere. The College of the Arts hopes to begin a relationship with CTF that will provide future opportunities for students and return great summer theater entertainment to the community.
