KENNESAW‚ Ga. (Dec. 4‚ 2006) – The Executive MBA program at the Coles College of Business
at Kennesaw State University has signed on as a Bronze level sponsor for the 14th
Annual Atlanta Press Club Holiday Author Party.
The event will be held Wednesday‚ Dec. 6 at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.
The Holiday Author Party is one of Atlanta’s most anticipated seasonal events for
the media community. It attracts hundreds of Atlanta’s top journalists‚ reporters
and media professionals‚ as well as more than 30 local and national authors who will
sign their latest works.
This year’s authors include novelists including Mary Kay Andrews‚ Pearl Cleage‚ Jeff
Fields and Melissa Fay Greene‚ as well as non−fiction authors including Atlanta magazine
editor Rebecca Burns‚ Newsweek correspondent Michael Isikoff‚ Atlanta Journal−Constitution
Managing Editor Hank Klibanoff‚ AJC Editorial Cartoonist Mike Luckovich and Atlanta
Chef Kevin Rathbun.
“The Coles College is an important educational sponsor for this event‚” said Press
Club Executive Director Sarah Douglas. “Their Bronze sponsorship‚ and their ongoing
support‚ is a very valuable contribution to the local media community.”
The Atlanta Press Club is one of the largest professional journalism associations
in the country. Its membership encompasses Atlanta’s burgeoning media community −
print‚ broadcast and online‚ big and small‚ national and local media outlets. Proceeds
from the Holiday Author’s Party support journalism students through the press Club’s
scholarship and internship programs.
