Kennesaw State University professor of management and entrepreneurship Dr. Gary Roberts
received the Kenneth L. Stanley Outstanding Georgia WebMBA Faculty Award Saturday‚
Aug. 21 at the WebMBA orientation at Kennesaw State. Two KSU graduates of the program‚
Nathan Ives and Steve Menear‚ presented the award to Roberts.
Roberts was selected for this award by the students from throughout the state who
most recently graduated from the WebMBA program. Georgia’s WebMBA is a collaborative
effort between five institutions in the University System of Georgia: Georgia College
& State University‚ Georgia Southern University‚ Kennesaw State‚ the State University
of West Georgia and Valdosta State University. Each school admits its own students
into the common curriculum.
“Since the inception of the WebMBA‚ Gary Roberts has been an integral participant
and faculty leader in curriculum and program delivery‚” said Dean of the Coles College
of Business Tim Mescon. “His leading−edge use of technology has captivated students
for years. I am very proud of the contributions Gary has made to this important‚
collaborative‚ AACSB International accredited online MBA program.”
The Georgia WebMBA has been awarded a “Best Buy” designation from geteducated.com
for its quality and affordability. In addition‚ KSU is among the five schools listed
in U.S. News & World Report's 2002 report of online MBAs offered by regionally and
professionally accredited business schools. The program also is listed with Business
Week Online and World Wide Learn.
